I want to apologise for my little rant on my LJ yesterday regarding the lack of feedback i had so far received on my SGA Big Bang story.

It's been an intense ride getting that story finished in time and i literally lived and breathed that story for so long that i guess now it's posted i feel that it's slightly anti-climatic. I'm going to chill out and hopefully some feedback will come in. I don't want to force anyone to read my story and for them to then write half-assed feedback of "That was great!". I'd rather the reader takes their time, really enjoys what has been written and then lets me know, when they have time, what they really thought.

Thank you everyone who commented and reigned in my paranoia!

I guess what i meant to say before was that feedback to a writer is incredibly important. It's the payback in a sense, to know that someone out there has enjoyed it and that all that stress and toil has been worth it. For me, it's what motivates me to write. (Well that and reading other awesome stories!)

So, yeah ... i'm sorry if i sounded like one of those pre-teeners of FF.net who threaten not to write unless someone reviews, but i was having an odd SGA Big Bang related mental breakdown moment. I think we all had one of those while writing these stories! The whole process was exhausting.

Umm I'm considering writing Merlin fanfic.

You know, i don't think i've ever really been into a UK series. I'm usually all for anything stateside. Damn you Arthur Pendragon!

Months and months of pain and suffering, sleepless nights, typing till my fingers were raw, going with one idea, changing ideas, settling on an idea i like, writing, re-writing, writing some more, re-writing what i had written till five in the morning, editing, re-editing after the beta's have had a look through, editing again, achieveing over 40,000 words, coding the entire story .... so is it wrong/childish/ungrateful(?)/completely shitty of me to be a little disappointed that i've only had one comment on my SGA Big Bang story.

I wasn't expecting a flood of feedback, but i guess was expecting something. I guess after all that hardwork that's the payback of hearing what people think of the story. I see everyone getting comments and i'm getting none. Hmmmm.

Maybe my stories not as good as everyone elses up there :( Or maybe not everyone's had a chance to read through all the stories yet? Or maybe i'm over-reacting? Sorry, just on a bit of a downer right now.

Well my SGA Big Bang is done! It was a very long, very hard slog but i feel really good about getting it done.

I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to my Beta's who were quick to get it back to me and with really really helpful suggestions and ideas!
